HEM

Hope for Eternity Ministry (HEM) is a Christian charity organization established in Uganda, East Africa in 2013, to bring back hope to vulnerable people.  On May 12, 2024 we celebrate our 11th anniversary. We are active in a number of  humanitarian aid and development areas, all of which are shown across our site.

Today there are 1.65 million refugees living in Uganda.  On average 2,500 people arrive in Uganda every week, mainly from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan, primarily driven by ongoing conflicts and climate-related challenges.  To see how serious refugee conditions are in Uganda at this time you can visit the UNHCR website by clicking here.  June 20,  2024 was the World Refugee Day(see New & Events), where HEM Africa issued a special THANK YOU letter to donors on behalf of the refugee total orphans project.  Funds for food, clothing, medicines and in some cases school fees are urgently needed.  While had hoped to support 50 refugee total orphans each month, we have only have managed to collect funds for 30 children.   You can learn more and help by visiting our Refugee Total Orphans page.
